Spot Me: A sustainable menstrual product giveaway
Each year, the Gender, Leadership, and Empowerment Center partners up with the Office of Sustainability to purchase and give away sustainable menstrual products to students on campus. This giveaway takes place annually in February to help the Office of Sustainability's Race to Zero Waste initiative.
What is a sustainable menstrual product?
Sustainable menstrual products that can be reused, they're better for the environment and better for the budget. We know the upfront cost of these products could be a burden to students, this gives the students an opportunity to try out products without needing to purchase them. We follow up by asking for feedback to better understand the university's needs on campus.
